    Good evening everybody!
I'm working on swapping these seats out. The inside seat rails line up just right, the outer ones not so much. I need to remove the bottom rail on the outside of my original seats, and install it on the replacements, then they will bolt right in.
I ground off what I thought was a bump/stop, inside the tail, on the rear side of the track, holding one of them into the track. (It still won't slide off.) Has anyone got a video on how to remove the bottom rail?

    Thanks in advance!!

Someone on here sells some sort of adapters that you install on the 4Runner track that meets the Tacoma holes. Looks super easy.

Well, the rails from my original seats weren't compatible with the rails on the new seats. No big deal, I remove the metal feet/brackets from the old ones, and bolted them onto the new ones. That's all set.
Now I can't get the bearing/traveler thingy (with the 4 ball bearings) to go in between the rails with the roller in place. It just seems like it doesn't fit.

This is a lot tougher than I thought it'd be.

You can see in the pic, there why the rails won't work. The bottom rail is what came on the replacement seat, the middle one is what I removed from the replacement seat, and the top one is the one that came off my existing seats.

when I installed my 4Runner seats, I drilled out the welds that hold the front feet onto the rails and swapped the feet from my taco seats to the 4Runner seats.
I didn’t have to weld them back on, I just used a small nut and bolt through the holes that I drilled.

What did you end up having to modify? I’m thinking of doing this to my 1gen

    4 run, 2 don't
Those mounts look easy to replicate.

Isn't it just one mount that's off?

I recently made this change to my single cab.

I ended up buying the seat adapters from the link earlier in the thread, then used some seat jackers and spacers to level the seat out. Took a bit of trial and error, but happy with how my seat sits now.
