Looking for floor mats and I found tons of options, but I like the Wade mats the best for their coverage all the way to the doors. Only problem is they are listed for 2016-2017. Will they fit a '22 double cab? I got the weathertech for my previous Subaru and I hated them. They didn't cover enough. Montana winters track all kinds of crap even with knocking my boots together before fully getting in the truck. The wade mats look great compared to the rest of them. Anyone running these in their 3rd gen?

So far after nearly 2 years the factory mats that came with the truck are holding up fine.

I honestly like the factory mats. I did on my Subaru too. They just don't cover quite enough. Until I find some options that are the same thick rubber material and cover up to the door sills, I think I'll stick with them. Who knows, one night I might get antsy and order the husky liners. I also emailed WADE and we'll see what they say. Husky's site has the same issue. Starts with 16 to I think 18 and then stops.

TBH, I would perfer ripping out the carpet, sound dampening the whole interior, and replacing with a decent thickness black rubber(ish) floor. Then I can just spray off the interior like a normal person does at the car wash:

My SX came with OEM door sill protectors. Basically mats that cover the sills. They work for me but they're not thick like Huskys so might not work for you. Just something to consider.

Yeah, i agree, i had huskys in my tundra. Imo they were better, but so was the cost. I'll likely replace these factory taco ones with husky when the time comes.

This woman had a 'Brown Out'. This clean is just the start!

Weathertech was the only place I could find mats for a manual truck.

I have the Rough country ones. Had them in my F150 and now in the Tacoma. Good coverage and decent price at 160 for front and back. They are hard plastic. Easy to wipe down

What Weathertech mats did you get that "didn't have enough coverage?" A proper Weathertech has had more coverage than pretty much any mat out there except Husky which is very comparable.

My OEM rubber mats are holding up extremely well after 3.5 years and 28,000 miles.

I like the OEM mats - have a 2019, but very low mileage at under 10k. They are nice and fit well.

That said, I just purchased Husky liners for my son’s Jeep Cherokee and was really impressed with these as well. So much, I will probably order Husky liners for my FJ rather than the OEM rubber mats you can get.

While there could be a bit more coverage, mainly up the transmission hump, I really like the OEM mats. The fit is perfect (obviously). What turns me off to most aftermarket mats is that the thing I want (more coverage) tends to result in curling sloppy looking rubber over time. I have the same feelings about most aftermarket seat covers...(cough, cough Carhart). Durable and protective? Absolutely. But they just look like sloppy burlap trash sacks. :anonymous:

I'll likely just replace my OEM mats with another OEM set when the time comes.

The design on the Subaru Crosstrek I had did not cover enough. One might say it was the design of the car, but weathertech took the half assed route for sure. Here is a pic:

All that carpet to the left there was just open. They could and should have gone all the way around the tank release and up to the door sills. The Crosstrek door seals don't even begin until the very bottom left of that picture either. Even the door sills Subaru provided were junk. Anyways... that's just a Subaru thing. Cheap but functional. Credit where credit is due but leaves a lot to desire at their price points.

And the pics of the weathertechs I have seen for the Tacoma just don't cover enough for my liking either. Those WADE mats cover everything. Some weathertechs are better than others, same with husky liners. I don't care who makes it, I just want the most coverage. Weathertech started out with the most coverage on limited vehicles but since they have expanded their market production has been half assed. Back in the days they offered the best, not so much anymore.

I really am leaning on the OEM route here too. But I have seen what happens to that carpet area after 6 years of Montana winters and it's not pretty. Eventually not even steam cleaning can repair it. I plan on running this truck into the ground beyond 200k, so I am just trying to protect the carpet as best I can. I agree these mats over time just start looking sloppy. Also, my weathertechs for the Subaru were a PITA to keep clean. Much more of a pain than any other floor mat I have ever used. Once they got dirty it was permanent. Even with taking them out at the wash and scrubbing them, this dirt color was always there. The only way I solved it was using a chemical guys ceramic coating after a serious scrub. One of the ones that's basically a quick wax. I don't use armor all or other interior shiners. I hate them. Warm water and a microfiber town with some all purpose cleaner every now and then is enough and doesn't add a film that just attracts dirts.

Anyways, still waiting to hear back from WADE. For now, it's going to be OEM and I'll just be careful. If I get any liners other than those, it'll be husky liners.

Here is a pic of my OEM mats:

    20211127_133634.jpg

And that is just the first two weeks of ownership, lol. Side steps will help me get in and out and will be put on when the lift goes on. But they are not like the ones you shared. Are yours on a second gen? Or maybe Toyota redesigned them? They are close, but that lip doesn't cover and lets all that dirt and moisture in. Other than that, yes, I think the OEM mats are great. In my families Ram 2500, they are terrible. Same with the Subaru. No point in investing in them from the factory if they don't do a decent job. But as usual, I knew I'd be looking for something later on with a bit better coverage. Hopefully with the side steps I won't track as much in and be able to sit down first with my feet hanging out so I can bang my boots together. I try to do that now, but I have a hard time getting in and out without that handle to grab and no steps. Serious oversight not to put a grab handle there.

I have Weathertech mats in my Corolla and they are awesome, easy to dump melted snow out with. The factory mats in my Tacoma work, but they don't have the upturned edges like the Weathertechs and are harder to dump without spilling water in the truck, as well as needing to be dumped more frequently. The Husky mats in my 1st gen are about on par with the Weathertechs.

My 19 SR came came with both carpeted mats and factory all weather. When I traded it off I kept them. The SR5 came with the all weather. I have had great performance from them a lot better than the carpeted ones from the factory. The coverage isn't compatible. But if I want it dressed up carpeted ones are nice.

My truck came with the all weather mats and they are fine. Not in my opinion as good as the husky liners i had in my Jeep as far as coverage. The huskies go up higher in around the pedals and were thicker rubber.
Probably will replace the front row with husky someday.

    Wade sent me an email.

Their mats do fit the floors but they don't have the cutouts for the newer models retention hooks. I might consider the huskys at a later time, but for now, I am liking the stock all weathers.
