3rd Gen Cup Holder Trim Chrome Delete - Manual Transmission (Part Number Needed)

Hello all,

I was looking at RobMotive's Youtube vid on the 3rd Gen MT cup holder trim chrome delete and I've been thinking of doing this to my taco since there's not chrome delete for us manual guys.

Does anyone have a part number for this trim piece in case I mess up? I'm sure it's simple job but wanted to make sure to have it and be able to order it just so I have a back up in case it doesn't turn out the way I'd like it to or it gets messed up.

If you are going to paint it, I would use a spray can type made for plastic models.
The part maybe attached as a whole in the diagrams I found it is not shown separate.

That is chrome plated plastic, which won't take paint well. I'd advise wrapping it instead.

If you want to paint it and have it last, you'll have to remove the plating, either via chemical or mechanical means.

 

Thanks guys! I think that's a bit much if I want to buy just that piece for backup. Wish @MESO would come out with their kit, hint, hint, wink, wink .

Happy with the vinyl from TVD Vinyl! I’ll probably redo the center console but overall super happy with the results.

 

RobMotive did a chrome delete?

That settles it...I'm putting all the chrome back on my truck and adding extra.
