    Too much.
First, a disclaimer. I have never worked with body filler or bondo, and have limited fiberglass-ing experience - but that was on boat repair. I approached my cousin Phil with a request to teach me how to use body filler and bondo in order to make pods for my truck. I showed him what I had, and he said "Ronnie, I'll do it, I owe you anyway, and it'll take you forever."

Now my cousin Phil worked in autobody for 15 or so years and is pretty friggen meticulous. He just wrapped up his 1972 Pontiac Lemans project car - I did the audio in it for him - and the car is sweet. He does powder-coating, motorcycle painting, ceramic coating etc, all as a side hustle now, and works at a power company.

    The LeMans:

Anyway, I left my project in his extremely capable hands. These pods were done the "easy way", as in the pods themselves are made by custom speaker pods dot com.

The drivers (CDT ES2EX) I am putting in have a mounting diameter of 2.4", and CSP cut the hole for me. I epoxied then screwed them into a spare set of a-pillars:

I removed the screws, and my cousin took it from there.

More picture once they are installed later today with the drivers.

That's a nice job. How much time did it take to finish it? What drivers are going in?
    Looks really good.

He's been working on them here and there since the 4th. I wasn't really in a rush. It's getting CDT ES2-EX coaxial drivers.

Time to hunt down someone to manufacture these off the prototype?

Agreed, perhaps also with a handle on the drivers side?

Looks great, makes me want to fabricate some...must...resist.

I would commission you and your cousin to make some in a heart beat. So, are you using the stock head unit/amp to power these? I have the really amazing JBL audio and have to upgrade it soon and this is just what I am looking for.

Never mind, just saw the other thread! Amazing work

My system set up (I think this is like revision 8 or something) is:

    1. CDT ES-02EX wideband coaxial drivers
    2. Morel Tempo Ultra 6x9 drivers in the front doors
    3. Rear doors are empty
    4. JL 12TW3-D8 sub in a Mr. Marv box
    5. JL VX1000/5i amp
    6. Sound skins and Noico deadening

I bet it sounds amazing and most proper. I wish I could hear it in person to motivate me to get me started. I am spending more time in the truck now and the audio, or lack thereof, is driving me crazy
