    Overview:
Basically, I got tired of charging my phone with a cable like a caveman and so I decided for the fun of it to make my own wireless charger. Plus, seeing as the third gens have this as a factory option, I think us 2nd gen owners deserve nice things too. After much love from my original post and encouragement from fellow members I decided to step up my original design and put together a kit to sell for everyone to enjoy!

    Price:
    $70

    Shipping:
$12 Contiguous US. Contact me if you're out of the country.

    What's Included:
    (1) 3D Printed Bezel
    (1) 5W Inbay 3-Coil Wireless Charging Unit
    (1) Rubber Phone Pad
    (1) Wiring Harness
    (4) T-Taps
    (1) Light Conductor

    Install:
    Installation Guide View Here
Charger and Bezel Assembly View Here

    List:
Ordering is broken up into groups of 10 based on time contacted. I can only make one bezel a day. If you would like to be added, either comment that you want one or send me a message and indicate what transmission you have.

I got tired of charging my phone with a cable like some kind of barbarian so I decided to make a wireless charger haha. I saw a company that makes one but I wanted something that was more discrete plus I wanted to make my own and it was fun to do. Let me know what you guys think!

Looks great! are you planning on making some to sell? Which charger are you using? I'm in for a group buy if you plan on selling them.

Dang! I'm also interested in seeing what charger you went with and how it's been working out. I'm sick and tired of plugging in my phone and then bluetooth on the truck going in and out.

My only concern is the phone sliding around on the 3D printed plastic. My phone case doesn't have any rubber on the back either. Would a thin piece of rubber interfere with the charging?

Maybe if there was enough interest I could make some to sell. It works pretty well, I used an inbay charger just basically for the size to fit in the cubby.

Got a link for it? How did you wire it to the truck? Splice into the 12V cigarette lighters?

Regardless, I’m in for a bezel if you decide to sell

I thought that too but so far I haven't had any issues with my phone sliding around at all. My case is rubber though so that probably helps.

This is the charger itself https://www.uspmotorsports.com/Inbay-Home-Wireless-Charging-Station.html just sides into the Bezel I made. Install was pretty simple I used a USB to 12v adapter I found on Amazon and tapped into the cigarette lighter.

Totally in for a group buy if you can do it! I’d love to ditch the cord and clean things up. Great job @ThreatLevelMidnight

So I just tested to see if my cheap wireless charger would still be strong enough to charge through some rubber padding

Went upstairs to my old desk computer and the charger still was able to charge through the rubber/foam pad and through my phone case. Therefore, I think users can add something similar on top of the bezel to prevent a phone from sliding and still have it charge

I am able to wirelessly charge through my case which is pretty thin but it’s plastic wrapped in leather so I’d guess a thin piece of rubber would be just fine

If you guys want the bezels I could print some up this week, my printer is at work so I would need to check the amount of material. I just need to make sure I can get a bunch of those chargers too haha

I’d be down for just the 3D printed part. I can buy the charger and wiring on my own

When I was testing the charger I put a shit load of paper in between to test out how thick it could charge and it worked, the amount of material between the charger and the phone is only like 2 or 3 mm
