    Hey Y’all,

I see lots of newer Tacos running 35x10.50 17 Kenda Klever tires. Anyone running this size on a 1st gen and if so, what lift? I have a 2” spacer lift with 2” BL for 4” total and am really wanting the skinny look. Currently running 33x12.50 15 on stock wheels. I cannot find a 1st gen with the 35x10.50 17 except for this one below which was a random FB image from the inter web. Hoping to see something… :fingerscrossed:

No lift is going to have you cutting a lot more, I would think... Since your travel sends you more into the wheel well...

I run those exact tires OP. 3" lift, 2" wheel spacer on 3rd gen wheels (less backspacing). They rub frame at full turn.

Here are some random pics I had on my phone (unfortunately they're more of the rear which are x12.50):

Thanks for the reply and pics. From the looks of that front, I may want to stay with 33’s. Looks like a tight fit with the 35’s. I do have 4” of lift but I also want a little room in the wheel well for travel. Decisions…decisions…

With 35s you'll be cutting no matter what, but it's rare I scrape. Got a good 3-4" of up travel there

Unless you have a drop bracket lift you'll have to do the same amount of tubbing to clear 35s whether you're at 0-4" of lift. Lift doesn't change the stock suspension geometry. I had to cut the firewall back to about the lower door hinges

You can measure your existing gaps now. If the gaps are 1" or more, then you can fit a 35" tire of the same width.

Normally you'd have to cut away a lot of the firewall, but your 2" body lift will reduce that a bit:

I’ll def measure but leaning towards sticking with 33’s now :(

Stock rears with cheap add a leaf and drop shackles out back. 1” wheel spacers and 5th gen 4rnr wheels. Trimmed 2” out of the wheel arches and no tubbing of the firewall. Just trimmed a bit at the bottom of the firewall behind the tires where it hung down.

What gear ratios are you running with the 35's?

No need to cut the firewall if it's a pavement or to get driven on fire service road.
