Group Buy feeler: Gen 2, Dbl Cab, Short Bed only

Extended range fuel tanks, Australian company, Long Range Automotive: 129 litre/~34 gallon fuel tank: https://longrangeautomotive.com.au

These tanks are direct fit, replacements for the originals. All mounting hardware as well as installation instructions are included. https://longrangeautomotive.com.au/file/12729/5361

    5 tanks - discount 15%
    10 tanks - discount 20%

    List Price: $1200 AUD ~ $882.44 US
    Base shipping x 1 = $495 AUS ~ $364.17 US (discount shipping per Qty)[IMG][IMG]
    Total = $1246.61 - 20% = $997.29 US + shipping*

    * Shipping would be from Australia to Denver, CO. Individuals would be shipped their orders once items reached here in the USA. According to the manufacturer, tanks can be shipped in pairs of two for the shipping price listed, saving some $$. Shipping from Denver to you would be separate fee, unless local.

Please bear with me as I'm still trying to work out all the details. Mounting locations have limited these tanks to only DCSB trucks, retrofitting to fit your truck could be done with some effort. Post or PM me if interested, not just thinking.

Sub'd. Thinking about it. Got to drop the tank anyway to install the high flow fuel pump waiting in my garage.

Does this tank decrease ground clearance?

Awesome concept an execution but I'd expect some serious taco lean.

They designed it around the DCSB but, others have said you can make it work with some slight fabrication.

I'm still thinking a couple months before I place the order, depends on how many are interested.

Great time to complete such a project, just saying.

Not really. It would be like having your - not fat - pre-teen daughter in the back seat.

I thought about them but earlier models didn't exactly bolt right in and I have a long bed so I know that the factory mounting points are in a different location. Looking forward to hearing your input on it.

Can you tell me if Tacomas even safely carry that much fuel weight on the drivers side that leans already too the left ? seems like it would greatly unbalance the truck.

If you're in CA, I don't think it will pass smog inspection.

thats what somebody else said, but when i had it smogged a month or so ago they only plugged it into the odb2 port and called it a day. but being the paranoid person i am, i am just going to keep the stock tank and if it fails for that will just swap it (will do a pretest first)

I'm definitely in, put me on the list. This would be great when going on long camping trips, I won't have to stop and fill up so many times.

Is that 100lbs extra for just the tank? You will have close to an extra 150lbs of fuel. So you would be looking at 250lbs extra when full.
