You'll have to go to a shop that'll mount them for you. It'll work just have to find a shop that'll do it since the rim isn't in spec to run 12.5" wide.

    I'm running 285/70r17 so that's practically a 33hx 11 1/4w
They are on level 8 trackers which is I believe 4.5" BS.

HAD to do the CMC and still get some rubbing from the pinch weld at full bump clocked drivers side

They would've fit stock wheels but wouldn't have cleared the UCA and would've contacted more body mount material

Awfully wide tire on a narrow rim, you'll wear out the center of the tire right away.

Not true. Depends on your alignment and air pressure.

I said F*** it and I just order a new set of 17x9-12 rock stars just so i get the same look on the wheel. i hope that the -12 4.45 and the spacers help with the clearance. any thoughts on that ?

You wont rub the UCA anymore but I guarantee you'll rub on your cab mount as well as other places.

I run that size on a 17x9 wheel with 4.5bs. you'll need to trim the cab mount back and a little bit of plastic. nothing too extensive though

the natural. thanks for the honesty, and I understand that my question to you and many in this forum may be stupid. but the solution is simple; just dont answer it. sure, you most be and expert in the subject and don't need to be bother. but like I said. dont answer and that would be cool too. thanks.

Pretty much trim whatever it rubs! I'd start with a CMC (cab mount chop). Not too hard. If you're mechanically inclined at all I'd buy a grinder and do the cutting yourself then have someone else weld it on.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/b-a-m-f-cmc-plates-cab-mount-chop.192527/

Then I'd beat the pinch weld with a hammer. It's best to get a small sledge and beat outwards. You don't have to lay it completely flat, but enough to not rub

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...lat-with-a-sledge-hammer-lets-discuss.425850/

That's the major starting point and anything else that rubs at that point will be plastic you can trim.

Yeah, he's right. The lift will help prevent you from rubbing while driving around town but once you compress the suspension and stuff that tire into the wheel well (hitting a bump while turning, etc) you will likely rub. Everyones truck is different, so I'd wait until you get everything mounted up then see where you rub. Then trim as necessary.

eh? I thought I was just answering your question?
x2. Lifting it more only helps around town. You still need that wheel to be able to travel up without hitting stuff when you're offroad (or even for certain supermarket entrances).

If you lift more, then decrease the amount of up travel by extending bump stops, you may rub less. But it will suck compared to just doing some trimming.
