So I am currently running 285/70 R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my 15 Tacoma TRD Sport on 3in lift with Icon Uniball UCAs and Fox 2.0 shocks, with no cab mount chop since I have not been rubbing on either side with this setup. I just purchased a set of 33x12.50 R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, I was wondering if anyone close to this setup has been rubbing or needed to have had the CMC done. I know 3rd gens are almost a for sure to have the CMC done, any advice or opinions?

Any good fabricators/welders in AZ (Yuma or Phoenix) who can knock out the CMC in these areas??? Much appreciated guys.

Heres my 2015 just before the lift!

Maybe if you get caster set at 4.5-5 degrees. I think it will be close.

I will give that a shot first! We will see.

I’m gonna say yes, you’ll probably need cmc. I needed mine done. I have a 3 inch lift, SPC uppers and ran 295/70/17 tires on 17x9 (4.5bs) wheels.

What should I ask my tech to set my castor to? Far away as possible from cab mount. I do have SPC UCA’s.

My 305/65/17's rub a little bit on the mount during sharp turns going uphill and I have the SPC arms set at position E. So with 33x12.5x17, that's a little wider and I'm sure they will rub the mount even more. But it will depend on your wheel width and the offset as to how much they stick out and contact the mount on turns.

Wheels are Methods 310 Con6, 0 offset and 4.75 spacing. They sure dont stick out much. This is why i decided to go with a bit bigger and wider tire.

So you should be tucked in more than mine. I can fit a thumb between my tire and the UCA so there is room to go in more. You might be real close to hitting the UCA with your wider tire, but that should also give you more room to possibly clear the mount. You may want to get one tire mounted on the rim and put it on the front and turn the wheel both ways with it on the ground to see how close it is on both sides. Do that before it's balanced so if it doesn't fit, you won't have spent the money yet.
