    Hello,
My Toyota dealer said this BG ATF is better than the Toyota automatic transmission fluid, anyone have any info about this claim?
    Thanks

Its very good stuff...and you will get a 2000.00 warranty if you service it by the recommended intervals

    BG does make good products.
I personally have not used their transmission fluid.
But knowing that WS (Toyota) fluid is on the lower end of the scale, I'd be perfectly fine using BG.
I'm even willing to say, "It's better".

If you don't want to use BG. (Expense)
You can use Valvoline MaxLife. It's a known good fluid, and has been used a lot in these trucks with great results.

I only have 61k on my 2012 and is due for transmission service, so wondering if I should go with BG ATF or use Toyota fluid..it’s not the expense just want to get it right…
Flush or not to flush is another question…

At that milage a PROPER flush and BG.
Get the WS out of there early. Then do drain and fills.
At about 150k, do a pan drop and filter.

If you treat the transmission right, it can got 300k -Maybe 350k depending on your driving type.
Mine won't. I tow too much and don't change the fluid as often as I should. :anonymous:

Sounds good, it’s not that expensive to do a flush…I have always done the maintenance, I bought the truck new and has been great..I am 71 and don’t drive that much…I just did the 4x4 service, coolant, throttle body, spark plugs, power steering fluid and a recall I never did will happen when I take it in for the transmission service..
