    Hey folks,

Just curious what people are using, 3 oz or 14 oz grease guns. 3 oz seems convenient-easy to store etc. But how quickly do you go through 3 oz of grease?

When I had my second gen I greased the bushing and ball joint every oil change but I didn't go through water deep to splash them much and there is not much dust off road where I live.

I just used a 14 oz one in the garage and if I only used it for the truck it would last a couple years. The only reason I would consider a smaller one is if tool storage space is an issue.

I use 2 greaseguns. 14 oz loaded with red and tacky and a 3 oz loaded with moly grease for the SPCs. I got a 3 pack of the 3 oz tubes and that has lasted for 2 years so far.

You may first research how many zerk fittings you have, there were some mid model changes that eliminated some/many of them. So if there’s little left, a 3oz may better serve you.
