I got a 3 inch tough country lift, its pretty stiff so when going down bad roads, over speed bumps etc its a little bumpy but its a good kit if you dont have lots of money to spend!

    Tuff Country or Rough Country?

Ok, well I guess it doesn't really matter, they're both essentially the same. Cheapest kits on the market. So as long as you don't expect to get any measurable performance out them them, they do what they claim to: make the truck higher off the ground. If you are going to be offroading

At 3" of lift though, I would highly recommend a diff drop kit if you have a 4x4. Help keep those CV angles in check.

Sorry to thread jack but what would you recommend for someone getting a 3 in lift who doesn’t go off-roading very often at all. Maybe once every couple months. Would u still recommend a diff drop?

It cost like 40 bucks and saves you possible damage down the road if you happen to be at a bad angle

Absolutely. You've increased the CV angle by quite a bit, and you now drive around at that angle all the time. Going off road can make that worse, but if you look at just the total # of miles, the road sees the most wear and tear.

Some will argue that a diff drop doesn't return the CV angle to "stock" so why bother?

I'd argue that you are at *least* making it better than it was, so why not? Most kits are $20-$40. There are several that come with spacers for your skid plate, get one of those, or you'll need to modify your skid plate since your diff would otherwise contact the skid plate.

If you meant springs try the OME dakar rear springs and 5100's all around for a good budget lift. It's like 2.5" but rides nice.
