Scheduled for March 21st for the rebuild.

Definitely looking into a fuel pump. And a tone more reading.

March 21 is when he will call you, pull it off the "wait list" shelf and take a look at what it needs for a rebuild. Then its another month or two before its finished and a few days to get it shipped back to you in your original shipping container.

Look at the Denso Supra TT OEM pump. It's dead quiet, OEM quality (Toyota), and will effortlessly provide all the fuel you will ever need. Only drawback is making sure you get a legit OEM Denso, and an extra few bucks over a Walbro, AEM or the like. The other fuel pump option might be the Bosch 044, but I've not compared the size with the OEM hanger yet. Bosch is also a very well vetted OEM pump manufacturer.

I've been chasing a vacuum leak forever.
I pulled the supercharger and plugged all it's holes and did a smoke test.

Edit: this is a 1st gen gray supercharger.

It looks like its coming from the bypass valve circled in red.

Is there a seal in there that could be leaking?

JonBondPerformance rebuilt my bypass valve butterfly a month or two ago. You might give him a call and see what he has available for rebuilding the bypass valve assembly...

Well I’m going to finish my house. Then hopefully this coming year I’m going to do Haltech, TRD headers, some sort of exhaust system, what associated mods have you guys done ?

FMU, rebuilt injectors, 2 inch pully, colder plugs, Corolla 170 thermostat, haltech in one wack.

What am I missing so I can start planning. Methanol ?

Get 340 AEM fuel pump and get new camshaft and crankshaft sensors,
You could possibly get a 3.5” intake tube and replace the stock 2.5”,
Methanol I use only in the summer to help for heat now, it’s not needed if you run an FMU and 340 AEM together with stock
injectors or if u get larger injectors then you don’t need the FMU,

you could also get the new improved supercharger coming this summer that probably will have more power potential and much more efficient

just an update on the TVS1320,
The new replacement supercharger from magnuson for the 3.4.
New email last week I got from magnuson,

said everything is on schedule still for the release this summer.

supercharger will be the TVS1320 which is 1320 cc per revolution compared to the current 1000 cc per revolution.
The TVS1320 rotor twist is 160 degrees compared to the current 60 degrees twist.
The TVS1320 will have an EGR port close to the same location as the current supercharger.
The TVS1320 will be slowed way down in rpm’s because it will be pushing much more air, I’m guessing a much bigger pulley that will make much less heat.
The TVS1320 will have the option to change out for different pulley sizes and not pressed on. But warranty is voided if you change the pulley, this is the same stipulation on the current supercharger.
The TVS1320 will be setup to match the old superchargers power output spec’s, boost, probably so as to keep the supercharger in the same carb and emissions window that way the new supercharger will not have to be retested as strictly on each year truck and application and the various emissions ropes that need to be jumped through.
The TVS1320 is a much more durable, efficient and stronger supercharger with stronger rated bearings and will run longer before needing a rebuild than the current model.
The Eaton website shows the TVS1320 bearings are rated at 20krpms,
The current supercharger is rated around 12-15k I believe.
Oil snout replacement is being said to be at 100k.
Email ends says updates to follow stay tuned!
Some basic info on the TVS1320 design and development below from Eaton superchargers then these are modified to each application each automotive company to fit their vehicles.
The TVS1320 is used in a lot of different applications and a lot of different Automobile companies

Yea but the good news is the difference after I sell my current supercharger its not going to be that bad, a good used supercharger still sells for 2000-3000 and I bet the new one will be 4k, so 1000-2000 for the upgrade depending if you already are running a supercharger.:)
