2x6 wood planks with bolts/screws all over surface for traction?

    Or even strips of wood running sideways.

    Is 6" not wide enough of a profile to provide traction?

    Bunch of stuff bolted on, some cool, some not
    I'm sure it would help but Maxtraxx are 13" wide and sometimes they feel like they're just barely wide enough for me. I have no idea if the bolts would damage your tires if you started spinning them hard. I bought a pair of the cheap traction boards off of Amazon and used them probably a dozen or so times and they're starting to wear. I would be interested in hearing what you come up with.

    I tried something similar screwing small blocks of wood onto 2x8 boards and it didn't help, airing down the tires worked way better.
