The third brake light on my truck is looking old and dated and I'd like to replace it out with a LED smoked version. I've been searching around and have found several on Amazon for around $30 that seem to fit the bill, but I'm curious as to the quality of them. I'm also planning on swapping out my factory taillights for some Alpharex Pros most likely soon. Do you have any recommendations or experiences with any of these? Thanks!

Thanks! That was one of the ones I was looking at. I watched a YouTube video of an install of one and it seemed to be pretty well made. This is probably what I'll go with but I just wanted to get other people's opinions first.

Just do not over tighten them once snug. Leave it or plastic will crack with to unchanged torque

For the ones looking at the Amazon one above. Here's what it looks like at night.

I like it. Looks good in the day and wife says she can see it when she drives behind me.

I have this one and it's been fine. Only issue I had is the pin on the connector pushed in during install and made poor contact. Thought the light went out after 4 months but it was just the bad connection. Was able to pull it back into place with pliers and it's worked fine since.

I've had a smoked third brake light from Amazon for a couple years now and its worked great. If I were to do it again, I'd buy the OEM gasket just for piece of mind sake.

    I’ve got one like this
Seems to fade yellow every year

    looks ok, cheap, works

want to ask yall about “better” ones
flush design (such as OEM or above) clears a shell. Softopper. Etc

there’s barely space if you put a shell

is there a flush upgrade that fits?
    Or anyone know/confirm what does?

I see like 4+ upgrades out there
    -Morimoto
    -Meso
    And more

but they all seem to protrude a lot like it would need removing to fit a shell or open a Softopper…
