Hi, I'm planning to change my second generation Tacoma frame and I'm wondering if anyone here has ever done this project without removing the engine and transmission. Basically I'm thinking of changing the frame without having a garage or a car hoist and I hope that someone here has already done something similar and is ready to share their experience thanks !

Welcome to TW. The engine and transmission are mounted to the frame. The engine and transmission must be removed from the frame if you want to replace the frame and reuse the engine and transmission.

How are you planning on lifting the body off without a lift?

These guys pulled off a frame replacement with some floor jack's, jack stands, a 4x4 (lumber not driveline), amd of course some logs. A Tundra, not a Taco, but still took a "just get 'er done" approach.
