You do have to wire up the transmitters and camera for power and ground, but it should work with the joying

Will it work with the head unit? Yes. Plug and Play not so much. You will have to find a 12v source which I would recommend the head units power. You will have to run a ground which again you can run off the head unit, but the RCA is plug and play. There are many ways to skin this cat but I would recommend soldering into the Joying Harness and leaving the factory wiring alone as much as possible.

Hardest part is going to routing the wires through the firewall.

Thanks for the advice man. I think I will end up taking the backup cam, and the Joying HU to a local shop to have it wired. No idea what the labor will be but at least I can get it up and running.

i have a 2012 non-jbl that i converted to jbl back in 2013.. with a 2009 amp. I have run into issues with the bluetooth calling on this unit... seems the problem is that the older JBL amps did not have seperate tweeter output lines, the newer jbl amps had seperate tweeter output and the phone audio was trying to run out those non-existant channels in my setup... i got around this by bypassing the jbl front speaker amp outputs and connecting the front speakers to the joying front audio output directly... not perfect, but workable until i find a better solution.

Anybody have issues with the mic volume being low when making calls? Im constantly being told folks have difficulty hearing me during calls. It’s a 2012 with JBL. Joying sent me an update and it didn’t help much. Any fixes?

So i’m looking into getting the 10 inch display model for my 2015 tacoma without job and i was wondering if anyone got the obd2 and tpms options for their unit. If so what does the unit display as in for the information for the truck and if it works smoothy. I have a mvh1400nex pioneer as of now with the idatalink maestro. does this unit just plug right in and everything works without a maestro? Thanks guys.

I think I remember reading in the Audio/Video Forum that the TPMSare not worth getting. IDK as I didnt purchase them but for the cost your still Pioneer unit new you would still come out ahead.

Where have you guys plugged in the back (orange) and brake (blue with white strip) wires too? I'm thinking just grounding the brake so I can do whatever I want anytime. But what about back? It doesn't say backup cam or anything.

i have the Panlong Bluetooth OBD2 from Amazon and it works well with Torque pro. I am still having challenges getting an aftermarket backup camera to work with this unit however... still trying to troubleshoot it

I bought the truck second hand and they were already installed. I believe they are stock or were installed at the dealership by the prior owner.

So, you really only need to install the 4G antennas if you are going to install the sim card and use the cell service directly on the unit, right?

Also, does this thing take a SD or microSD card to increase memory?

Awesome! I just installed it and i love it. I’m struggling with Bluetooth Apple car play connection staying on. Where did you connect your cord for the car play? Did you put your iPhone charger directly on the back of the unit?

On Joying's website, they show the following USB layout:

What is the difference between OTG USB and USB? Also, will either of those support a USB hub?

Ok yea support told me to put my phone cable directly into that otg port. They told me to not use usb extensions that came with it.
    Thoughts?

I have a USB port entry coming out from the unit cables too

    @TodayWasTHeDaY

Do both USB ports connect for car play? It's the unit 2 USB ports? I'm having issues connecting with USB. Also where do you get the nova application?

I used the included extension and haven't had a problem yet. I also ordered the USB port adapter so that it looks a little more factory.

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0742DFK2L?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

No, only one of the ports allows for car play. I wanted to have a port go over to the drivers side by the switches and have one by the center console but this doesn't allow that.
