I am nearing the final stages of my swap and am trying to figure out what all I need to do to get my baby back on the road. I put a 2jz-ge and auto trans. from a 2001 Is300. I put a CX Racing T-4 on top of that. It looks like I may be able to open loom and route ECU wiring back thru firewall. But that area behind glove box sucks to work at. The IS300 has a junction block in with the ECU that provide 2 of the remaining 3 ecu ports.

Thanks for the reply. The IS300 had a lot of options that my Tacoma does not. I am trying to keep all the Tacoma stuff working. Lights, door locks, power windows so my question is can I incorporate Tacoma fuse/relay box (in engine bay) or do I need the fuse boxes and wiring out of IS300. Tacoma uses c/open for fuel pump. Lexus has a fuel pump relay.
Do I use Tacoma starter wire ? There is a wire from fuse box to starter.
The Tacoma junction blocks are in that sleeve between engine bay and interior. One has grounds and red with white stripe wires. One has blue with white stripe wires. Lexus has them in ecu box. And the immobilizer... I have key from lexus. I guess the key and ecu go together. What about the other parts to the system. Will Tacoma stuff work?

I've got loads of questions. I'm a little overwhelmed. But I can repin connectors and read the wiring diagram. I would like a connector and pin diagram for both vehicle ECU's. Do you know where I can find one? I have both service manuals but they are not all in the same place. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

The he toyota diagrams I have don’t provide an ECU “pinout” chart. They give the connector with PIN numbers. And then you need to look at each different diagram to see what wire goes to what pin. For instance, you need to look at the Starting diagram. The ignition diagram, the door lock diagram……. And all of those are separate diagrams. It’s a pain in the ass.

There are a few of use than can probably help you with diagrams. But actually sitting down and mapping out the what wire from each harness goes where. You need to do that. That’s a lot of work.

I’ll see what I can come up with later tonight, diagram wise.

Dude you are awesome. I'm not afraid of a lot of work. But, man oh man, you weren't kidding. I had seen that post on the my.IS forum before and forgot about the pinout chart he did. Thank you for your time. Wish me luck.
