What wheel offset, do you already have a cmc? What UCA?

    I think I'm at 4.5 with 295's on -25 offset dirt king uca's

Maybe but I wouldn't think you'll hit a good alignment depending on how high of a l8ft you do. Not sure if your saying you have a 2.5 kit or a 2.5 lift. And are those the trd pro wheel or trd OR wheels. Best to know the full specifics of the wheel.

I have a icon 2.5 kit, roughly getting around 2.5 inches of lift. and they are trd pro wheels that came on the 4runner 17x7 I believe, +4 mm offset and 4.5" bs. thanks for your response hopefully I can get a good alignment, if not ill look into upper control arms. here is a picture of the truckPismo.jpg

Call around and ask. Might get better results than asking the internet and stock uca on those wheels and tire specs can yield a good alignment with no rubbing. I have the same set up just different brand with no cutting and rubbing.

They might be able to get the alignment right if they know what they are doing, if not you gotta go to an off road shop or a place that does alignments on lifted toyotas regularly. Your stock uca will limit how much caster you can get which will be close to 3° but that's the max you'll get. You'll want close to 4° or more to get your wheels as far away from the cab mount as possible

I am getting ready to do a lift and I am on a budget - I wonder if you mind me asking a couple of questions what wheels are you using , specifically what is the offset? Are you running 5100s both front and back? Do you take your truck off road ? The thing is I really don't care about looks I want to take my truck on some of the more difficult trails so no rubbing is fine on pavement but would like to know how your set up does off road.

as of right now im using trd pro wheels, icon 2.5 kit, leaf pack and 285/70/17 tires no rubbing issues or cmc truck is more than capable. im due for tires so im going to 34s which is bringing up clearing and alignment issues.

Actually the Les Schwab in auburn the one closest to the Muckleshoot should be able to help you. My neighbors daughters BF works there I talk to him a lot they sell SPC uppers and know how to align them. So should be able to help you out ask for Blake when I see him next I’ll ask him what he thinks.

    there’s lots to pick from
One company I forget which has some they say were developed to shift the wheel forward for better size clearance, but that one costs much more than the rest.

Theres other parts that can do that like pivots or fabbed LCAs but idk if they all stack together or could be just one is needed and a better choice (like pivots that strengthen a known weak point)
