265/75-16 because it adds 1/2" of ground clearance over the stock 265/70-16 and no rub with stock suspension. The speedometer also now is accurate but the odometer slows down and that is why some of you think you lost gas mileage. If your math says 15 mpg the true mileage is closer to 16.

A note: the factory speedometer reads faster than you are really driving, 70 mph is actually about 67. With the 265/75 series, the 1" taller taller tire slows the speedometer to the true speed. The odometer was accurate with the stock tires, however.

I moved up to 285's on my 1st gen and wished I'd gone the skinny route, (255's).

Granted, I was utilizing an I4 with manual trans to move them, but it made the truck feel sluggish and I'm quite sure I was using all ponies to get up long inclines. Offroad, they did very well. I'm getting ready to start building a 3rd gen 4runner and will be either utilizing the stock tire size with a more aggressive tread, or I'll move to 255's. Keeps the speedo, odo and mileage the same and the aggressive tread pattern will look "cool" enough. HOWEVER, I wont be offroading every weekend as this vehicle's primary use will be for poor weather conditions.

After all of the tires I have looked at on here and on the web, I am really leaning towards the 265/75/16 KM3

Yeah 32" are a great size, better acceleration, better mpg, better braking can fit in the factory tire carrier...
the 32" is better all around tire.
But on the trail dang a 33 is just a lot nicer.
So you have to decide, if you have to use it as a daily driver 32" might be nicer.

I was wanting to go to 255/85/16 but decided to stick with 265/75/16. Had Toyo AT2s initially and have gone to a similar Mickey Thompson AT this go round. I have roughly a 1” front/1.5” rear lift which goes real nice with the 265s. Any more than that and it would’ve been 255:85 vs 285s for me.

I also went P rated this time. My Toyos were LTs (C rated) and damn what a difference in noise and ride. Mickey Thompson’s are quiet and plush.

I’ll be honest, sometimes I look at my truck and think “wow that looks nice”, and other times I’m like “these tires are too small”. That’s where 265s puts you lol.

I’ve been having this debate with myself for months now. I’ve got extended Radflos up front giving me 2.75” and AllPro expeditions/Fox’s in the back giving me 3” and I’m still not going to go bigger than 255-85.

I just don’t want to do cmc or regear to make 285s decent enough on my daily driver. So Falken Wildpeak 265-75 or DC Extreme Country 255-85s for me, still haven’t decided. Lol

255 R16's KM2's here. A little better milage over my 265's KM2's. Better in the Texas Mud.

I had 245’s on mine and the 265’s just made it look so much better and gave me about an additional 1.5” of clearance...

I am thinking of buying a set of aftermarket rims for my sport for the summer. I really don't like the look of the stock sport wheels, want to go black. I only bought a truck cos I had to borrow my buddies 3 or 4 times the last few months of 2019. I don't do any any off roading, just wanted the 4x4 for the snow we get and I can't miss any work because of the weather. I thinking of summer or all season. I am also thinking of 265/70/17 as well don't really need the clearance, just think they look good

IF I had to do it again. I’d just go 285/75r16. I ultimately went with the 265/75r16 ridge grap. (I do mild off roading)
