Finally pulled the trigger on some wheels (FN Five Star 17x8.5 -6mm) so now I'm moving on to tires. I've got my eyes on 285/75/17 but would like to stay with load range C. I don't plan on rock crawling, and most offroading will be sand with some snow in the winter.

These are the only two options I've been able to find in this size with a load range c offering.

Anyone aware of any other options I ought to consider? Any feedback on these two?

I've got a hefty bit of highway driving I have to do for work so on-road performance is important to me and a big part of the reason I'm trying to stay in load range c. I won't be seeing snow nearly as much as sand... I know the Toyos have a better snow rating but overall it seems the Nitto is the better rated (and far more expensive!) tire.

    Appreciate any feedback.

I'm also between these two in this exact size/load.

My initial thought is Nitto's, mainly for their more aggressive side wall.

That's another reason I'm leaning towards the Nitto's but damn they're expensive. I guess "buy once cry once" as we love to say around here!:spending:

I guess somebody needs to pull the trigger first and report back. I've got my wheels coming in this week and might just say screw it and pony up the credit card to try and get install for Monday.

Trying to decide right now if I want to re-use old TPMS sensors or buy a new set.

    Go with the ridge graps.

I may be biased though as an owner of 285/70R17 Load C Ridge Grapplers

im leaning toward the at3 just because currently i have at2 265/75/16 and theyve done really well for where i wheel at but cant deny that the nittos look more aggressive

if i could handle and e load and a MT id definitly go with the yoko geolander g003 in a 285/75/17

    Nothing yet

New swt only cost me 40 bucks at discount tire. I was given a few "discounts and freebies" for buying wheel and tires.

I’m waiting for new suspension to come in before I can fit them. Then need to regear so I’ll be about April before I will be totally done.

I do, I have Eibach coilovers up front and a 1" block out back. But, I know I'm leaving some performance on the table so ordered some Fox 2.5 DSC's from Accutune, Hammer Hangers, and Icon RXT leaf pack. It will be nice to see the difference across the board.

Im on Eibach coilover pushed to 2.5" along with fox 2.0 Adjustor from accutune, hammer hanger, and 1.5" aal out back and it feels awesome thos im still waiting to buy the 285/75/17s just because i need to get my DRT Fab CMR installed. Eventually ill swap to icon rxt pack and some 2.5 fox dsc upfront. If you could let me know how much of an upgrade the fox2.5 dsc over the eibach coilovers once you get them installed.

    I will write a review.

My only complaint with the Eibach is that when they top out they are extremely harsh.

what do you have your set to height wise. I unfortunately haven't been able to really test mine out since installing them so I haven't fully compressed them yet. could you're harsh top out be that you hit your bump stops? I've got aftermarket bumps upfront and rear and I know it made a huge difference before the lift off-road

2" + or - a little bit. Truck is level with the 1" block out back.

On hard bumps during compression they are good, it's top out (opposite of bottom out which would be hitting the bumps) they are harsh. For example, going over a speed bump fast when the front coilovers are on the rebound stroke and they've hit their maximum extended length they are very harsh. Feels like they are going to rip out of the truck harsh. I have the sway bar relocate brackets installed, but I have no witness marks anywhere to show anything is hitting so I've chalked it up to the coilovers.

I do have new bumps as well, waiting for the new goodies to get installed.

I'm putting a front bumper and winch on her this weekend, ~140lbs. I was going to see how much it dropped the front down and if performance was any better over the speed bumps. It also tops off a lot off road too, which is annoying and makes everything feel way crazier than it should.

Cant comment on Toyo, but I've been running my ridge graps for about 3 years now. I would say my mileage from pavement and sand (beach) is about 50/50. On road manners are great. Not exceedingly loud. Offroad manners are great in sand when properly deflated, with exception of mud. I have not found them to self-clean well at all in mud.
