Does anyone one run 285/75/r16’s with a 2 inch level? If so is there any rubbing?

Many and I mean many people are running 33s with a 2” lift/level. I run a 285/75/16 right now. If you don’t want to rub and run a 285 tire go with a 0 offset wheel. If you don’t see dirt then you will be fine probably without any rubbing on street besides a little while backing up.

    5100's 1.5 front. 1 inch Eibach block in the rear. KO3 285/70/17 RRW RR6-H 17x8.5.
Not running 16's but currently running 285/70/17 with 1.5 lift up front and 1 in the rear. Mud flaps minor rub. took them off and now i'm good. 0 offset played a major roll.

Lift has nothing to do with rubbing. Do you guys not realize your suspension goes up and down while driving?

I just finished making my 285/75/16s fit. 2ish inch lift in the front, 1.5 rear. SPC UCAs and 0 offset wheels. Had to push the caster pretty far forward (and corrected with spc adjustment). I did this myself but much easier to have an alignment shop do it if you aren't able/willing. Before it rubbed badly on the cab mount (driver side was much worse). Trimmed front bumper bottom and pushed the front of the fender liner and inch or so farther forward. Wheeled the snot of the truck and only had minor rubbing on the top of the liner. Easy fix with the heat gun. Let the good times roll!

Wow. Just to make sure, you’re on stock height/stock suspension and 285/70/17 ? Fj steeliest are 17 inch I presume . Thanks

Yes 100% stock other than the wheels which are FJ OEM wheels. All I did was change the mud flaps

Your bumper may alleviate a bit of trimming. I did have to unclip the front fender liner and push it foward. Rescrewed it into place and voila, works well. I may still get the CMC done anyway but it wasn't too difficult (other than the at home alignment changes) to make the tires fit. Man, what a difference the KO2s make over the stock tires, size aside.

Yeah like half the people on here have some form of 2in lift. However I would never run a leveling kit that big. It's gonna ride like garbage (offroad at least. Ymmv around town.).
I run a 2.5in suspension lift with 285s without issue. The major key is offset.

-10mm. Just a little bit of poke but not enough to make contact with the cab mount/pinch welds. I don't have mudflaps though and have heard that's where guys with the same setup sometimes rub.

After. After an alignment it only rubbed when reversing or hitting bigger whoops off road. No issues on road. But, I do a ton of beach driving so it got old fast. A little heat gun on some of the plastic and a moderate CMC did the trick.

You will be good with that setup. Post pictures after. Sounds really nice with the clearance bumper.

I'm glad for you, mine rubbed pretty badly just turning at stop lights. That noise...

I know you said in a previous post that you have the Eibach stage 2…how much lift does that give you? I have bilsteins and don’t know much about the Eibach setups.

Truck looks fantastic by the way.
