My 2 cents is the 0 offset and the fatter tire. Solution is to trim or go with FendX liners

I’m gonna try using a heat gun and pushing them back tomorrow, I’ll definitely check out fendx though, thanks

    Why UCA’s for a 2” lift?

I had been told and read quite a few times anything 2+ it was a good idea though not absolutely necessary, found a good deal on them and figured it couldn’t hurt

It has been said that it can help on-road manners as the geometry changes significantly with 2” or more. But if you want more functionality than just looks, ucas can help.

Damn. I was going to go with these tires. I have pretty much the same set up but with -10 offset but I still think I would rub.

OP how bad does it rub?

For what it’s worth, I run the same tires in a 285/70/17 on 17x8.5 0 offset wheels with a 2” OME lift and only rub if the truck is loaded down, backing up, turning, and hitting a bump. Prior to really getting my SPC UCA’s dialed in it was a bit sketchy. Not saying this will be the case for everybody, but it’s worked fine for me. If and when I start wheeling more frequently I’ll be in the market for a CMC just to be super safe.

I have 275/70/17 Wildpeaks on 17x9 -18. I had to cut, trim and heat gun quite a bit to eliminate rubbing. This was even with a 2” lift. Every truck has a different outcome with fitment. Don’t be scared…. It’s just plastic.

Thanks. I think I might need to ditch my UCAs with built in caster and get back into the SPCs again. I had them on my 4Runner and was able to fit 275 on that fairly easily. These UCAs add the caster but it's from the top which actually moves the tire BACK. Truck rides really nice but I even rub a little with the 265s 70s I have, backing up and turning. I actually didn't rub before I put the UCAs on but I only had around 1.5* Caster which made the front a little squirrely.

Can y’all clarify for me does more caster move the wheel closer to the fire wall, or further away?

i think it’s camber. Caster is where the upper ball joint is from true centerline. A negative caster means the coil and strut are tilting to the right. This affects geometry but doesn’t move the center of the wheel.
Camber, however does. Negative camber means the top of the tire will get closer to the UPC.

Just got my 275’s on. Little bit of rub. I’ll update when it’s fixed.

No, it’s caster. The more positive caster the more the tire will move away from the back of the wheel well

Removed mud flaps, Trimmed the plastic, heated and pushed back liner. Clearing all that, now just barely rubbing on cab mount at full turn.
