I wonder why BFG would not make a C rated tire in 275 and have one in 285. What's the thinking there?

Some of the C-load tire sizes are specified by vehicle manufactures as an OEM tire load rating, as they will not put heavy E-load tires on a light weight off road vehicle/truck. So tire manufactures will make specific lighter weight C-load tires to meet the OEM spec in a very specific size. Not always the case, but becoming more common where OEMs are looking for maximum performance and mpgs.

It took them a long time to release the c-rated 285s. Consumer demand finally reached their ears. I too wish they made a C-rated 275/70/17 K02, but alas.

BF Goodrich makes a LT265/70R17/C 112/109S, it is Canadian part number 66255. Maybe that will do the job?

I am running a Mastercraft Courser AXT in a C rating and have been happy with them. I have not had them long enough to try in snow yet.
    Thanks...Tim

I've been a BFG fan for decades starting with the T/A Radials on my muscle cars and then the KO'S. Just my taste and style but tks for the reply.

You could consider 255/75r17 KO2s in C-load. They are light, but you’ll need a narrower wheel than 9” wide. It is what I ran on my 2” lift.
