Hello TW, I know this has been asked before and have seen “ different opinions “. We just got our 2022 TRD Off Road DCSB and live in the mountains where having winter tires makes sense, and the only reason we are considering this tire size is we already have them from are old truck and they are barely used. The question is with the right rims can they be used without any modifications/ lifts?if so any suggestions on rims- offsets ect? Thanks

Stock OR offset is 25 I believe, so according to tire calculator the new tire at the same offset would be only .2" closer and .2" farther out. I'd verify the factory offset and try to match it. Maybe see what Limited wheels are and get a cheap set if they are close.

My expert opinion is it should work.

    Should.
    I'm also not an expert.

I am running 275-70-18s on my 2017 sport on aftermarket wheels with factory offset. With this tire/wheel combination I rub at full lock both directions, not terrible but it's there. If I turn from the street into a parking lot going maybe 20mph it will rub as well. Removing the front mud flaps cures some of that but there is still a little rubbing on the control arm. Hope that helps.

Thank you for that- maybe a different offset may help a bit.

stock size for 18" is 265/60/18

you're making it quite a bit wider and taller, I'd say you are pretty much limited to stock rims and offset, even then they might still rub.

I'd wait for someone who has stock 18" wheels from limited or nightshade and see if they'd sell, in aftermarket world, you barely can find any 18" wheels that are narrow in width and positive in offset

    Oh look, another mod....

They will fit because the 275's are just a bit taller than the 265's. With 18's, you'll have less sidewall.

These sorts of questions always get mixed answers. That’s a bit of an oddball size too; at least for tacos.

I'm running 265/65-18 KO2's on 8.5" 0 offset wheels. I looked at all the specs before I bought and came to the conclusion that if you're trying to cut it close, tire brand is a bigger factor than most realize. Look at the specs for your tire!

I know it’s a weird size for a Taco but like I said originally we already have these tires

I understand. I was just pointing out that you might not find a lot of testimony about fitment.

I appreciate it - maybe I should of posted any 275/65- whatever tire as the wheel diameter doesn’t really matter?

    The wheel diameter absolutely matters.
    A 275/65/16 will be 2 inches shorter than a 275/65/18.

Tire diameter, tire width, and wheel metrics matter.
