    I can't decide between the KMC KM717 16x8" (0mm offset) and the Replika R213 17x8" (5mm offset)... Falken Wildpeaks AT3W's either way! $100 more all-in for the KM717 setup.

I have a stock 2020 SR, so 16" steel wheels - which looks like are 30mm offset - and 245/75R16 tires.

I'd like to hear why you went with the combo you did! (And honestly, feel free to show them off with pictures)

If you've gone with either size setup and had rubbing issues, had the TSS fail at any point, dealership/warranty issues, felt it's wrecked your fuel mileage, or strongly recommend a different offset, I am all ears. I've creeped the forums and stalked the internet, but too much research is not mo' better so calling out for help and putting my newbness on full display :D

Personally, I like the look of 16s because the tire looks a bit larger. The 17 being a 70R has a lower profile. Lookin back I'd have gone with the 16s for that reason.

Bit off topic but I run 17", NV's now with Toyo AT 2's and have dealt with a bit of vibration at 60-70mph, from go. From what I've come across, people using factory TRD sema (17") wheels or Pro (16") wheels don't seem to have this issue. That said, Im sure some do. My "belief" is that the offset on aftermarket wheels causes the vibes and it's tough on bearings. Or maybe it's the way the wheels sit on the hub or lug nuts. (I do get them road force balanced now and then). I gave up. I'd trade my NV's in a second for SEMA wheels.

    There's this too. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/16-vs-17-wheels-pros-and-cons.460106/

It is truly personal preference. There is almost no difference.

The bigger sidewall on the 16s is slightly better off road, although the difference is minimal.

There is more tire selection for 17s, but that doesn't matter if your preferred tire is available in both sizes.

So, get whichever one you want and don't worry about it.

Are you looking for E load or C load tires? In 17 inch you have more C load choices, lighter tires. If you are looking at mostly E load then it doesn't matter and both sizes have a good selection of tires.

    Thanks for the thread link!

What's the offset on NV's? The TRD SEMA look to have a 4mm offset which is similar to the Replika's at 5mm. I don't want to end up with a vibration filled ride

Yeah man you're welcome. I believe the NV's are 0. It sticks out of the wheel well a bit.
