After reading all of your posts, I’m looking for votes on which AT tires would look better on a stock (not lifted) 2021 Tacoma SR5 4x4; 265/75/16 or 265/70/16.

Rationale for 265/75/16 = larger, may look more rugged.

Rationale for 265/70/16 = won’t look too big for an un-lifted, stock truck and potentially better mpg

    Thoughts?

Neither size would look "too big" on stock suspension. (I don't think that's a thing)

    255/85/16 is the way.

The MPGs wont be hugely affected with any of the tires.

Yeah "looking" too big has never even crossed my mind. "Being" too big is another story.

Either way, neither will "look" or "be" too big. I have an equivalent size to the 265/75/16 (mine are 265/70/17) for reference:

Go 265/75 it definitely does not look too big. C-load duratracs are not much heavier than stock by the way
If your in it for looks only than you cant get better than the sidewall on ko2’s
Wildpeaks have a similar sidewall and are available in SL load if you never go offroad. My vote is 265/75 c load Duratracs if you offroad or SL load wildpeaks if you dont

Mine came with the 265/70/16 Duratracs and when the time comes, I am considering the Michelin defenders in 265/75/26 but they are $40 more per

Thanks man, and happy to share. The rack is the standard Prinsu rack. I couldn't justify spending what the Roam cases and the like cost (some places I'll spend money, that isn't one of them) . I got these Apache cases from Harbor Freight during a sale for under $300 for both. They're watertight and serve my purposes well. Left just enough room for the traction boards tucked in between.

Fog lights, Vision Turbine 16x8 wheels, Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain 265/75/r16 AT's, janky LEDs that probably won't catch on fire
I wonder if the people getting rubbing with 265/75/r16's didn't get an alignment when they upsized or potentially if they have negative offset wheels and that's the culprit.

My vote is 265/75r16's. I chose this size because they fit stock suspension and didn't make a noticeable difference in drive-ability20210519_115237.jpg

@Plain Jane Taco: thanks for catching my error. At Discount Tire’s website: The 265/70/16 Michelin defender is $224 per and the 265/75/16 is $241 per, so I probably had the brands/models mixed up, when shopping around. For only $17 more per tire it seems like a no brainer to get the 75s

I run a 265/75/16 for my snow tires.
