I was woudering if anyone was running 265/70r17 Nitto Trail Grapplers on a 17 inch stock sport rim without wheel spacers, cause I know this tires are 11 inchs wide and all the other tires I have seen this size are 10.8 inchs wide.

Guarantee you'll be fine. I've run BFG and Michelin at that size and an extra 0.2" wouldn't rub. Having said that, my father in-law ran those tires and hated them. I know a lot of tacoma drivers like them though, so maybe they're OK on a lighter truck. Good luck with them.

I'd consider 255/75/17 too. They are .2 taller and .8 more narrow and are are C range tire instead of e range. They'll ride a little better and will save you some weight

I run the 285/70R17 Trail Grapplers and have no issues. Granted, I had to do a few modifications on the wheel well :)

    Without flexing.
I'd also recommend this size, although I've only had experience with an E rated 285, and an E rated 255/85.

I've got them on my truck. Truck has stock suspension, only modification up there is i removed the front mud flaps (I got tired of them dragging over potholes.)

Some people have reported 265/70/17 tires will rub on them. I've had zero rubbing, and have put over 30k miles on them and they still have about 1/2 tread remaining. So far pretty happy with the tires. I think I lost about 1mpg going from the stock street dunflops to them but I was kinda expecting that with a slightly larger diameter tire with more aggressive tread. Here's a pic of the truck if you are interested in what they look like.

Are your Nitto's LT or P rated?

I was running 275/70r/17's on my '12 Sport with stock wheels and suspension. It would rub if you wheel it hard.

P rated. Nitto apparently only makes E rated LT tires, Didn't want to go with that heavy of a tire.

My concern with the P was the tread depth vs. the E rated, but it sounds like you're on pace to get very good mileage out of them. Thanks!
