I have a 2016 DCSB Sport 4x4. I recently bought the ridge grapplers and 17x8.5 Method the standard wheels. I am getting conflicting info on proper cold tire pressure setting. Have emailed Nitto this weekend and waiting on a reply. anyone gone down this road already? discount tire set them to 35 when I bought them. I am getting info from 29 to 44 psi.
Thank you for any info you can provide.

Do a chalk test. Every truck will be different. The chalk test is the only 100% guaranteed accurate pressure test.

Google and YouTube will both yield instructions. Super easy.

It's probably the most common question you'll see asked here when people post a photo of their truck with aftermarket tires/wheels.

I run the same size Nitto ... but the Nitto Terra Grappler G2 C load rating... I run them at 35psi spring summer and fall, winter I had to up the pressure to 38psi cause in cold they kept loosing air and I got tired of having to air them up every few weeks. As soon as it got to say 20F - the air pressure in all tires would be down in the high 20s.... and would stay there. One time I aired them back up accidentally to 38psi and they stayed there. As soon as it warms up some (east coast Philly) I will put them back to 35psi. These tires when warm the PSI will go up 2-3 psi.

    Hey @Inferno_Taco

Just did a search trying to find out the same thing and it's way cool, besides the year of the truck and the wheels, SB vs LB, we could almost be twins. My Ridge Grapplers are being installed this Saturday. I know every truck is different but I was hoping to find a lot of answers since these 265/70r17s are E Load Range tires. The majority of guys running them are of the 285 flavor in C Load Range. Let me know what you find out please. In the mean time, I guess I need to get some chalk too. Then head out to the nearest air pumping station.... I have a compressor at my house but not of my driveways are flat or straight and the main road is just a two lane that would be too dangerous to stop on to chalk up tires. I am sure I can find a Royal Farms or Wawa with enough realy straight flat to do the tests without spending all day to do it. I'll post back here when I figure out what is the best for me and my setup. Our wheels are very similar too except for the make. 17" x 8.5" -10mm offset.

    sub'd

    Rob

Thank you sir! I love it. I never heard back from nitto with my pressure question. I found 36 to 38 is a good tire pressure to run with. It seams to offer the best wear with the tread. if I lower it below 36 it seams to run top much on the sidewall and with the chalk test 37/38 looked the most even across the tread I have a little pancake compressor. filled it up and took with me to a flat area to test. good luck and awesome color choice. if i can assist let me know.

Our trucks require enough pressure to attain a 1,954 load capacity with LT tires or 2,149 load capacity with P/ISO metric tires.
Different tire sizes attain these load capacities at different PSI.
With your tire size, it attains it(1,954lbs) at 37 PSI.

Hmmmm, cool, thanks! Excellent info. I will start at 37/38 in the rears and 38/39 in the fronts to allow for the weight of the engine and me. LOL

How is the ride overall? Is it harsh, or is is still comfortable? I can't imagine that it can compare to the OEMs at all but I hope it is not too bad. My commute is 44 miles one way and it varies from rural, to highway to city streets at all different speeds. I was so skeptical to go with the Load Range E but I didn't want to affect the MPGs or have to do a lift or cab mount chop or fender pinch weld modification (bend it over, which sounds easier than it is). Also I like how the 265's stuff the wheel wells more, especially without a lift. I really like that stance. There is nothing wrong with lifted trucks and I love that look too. But it comes with a cost I was not ready to bear yet.

Yea, I think the Inferno is a very cool color and you see less of them on the road. I like that aspect too. Well, thanks again for the report. I appreciate it.
    Rob

Oh, here are the wheels I am having the tires put on this Saturday, and I am super stoked:
