    Hi all,
    crew cab 4x4 SR5 SB
My Oem tires are 245/75R16 and I'm thinking of swapping to 265/70R16 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I saw them today on an identical SR5. Curious who is running this size tire and what experience they have? I don't want to kill my mileage too much - I get 22 avg - 25 highway. Any pics and experiences welcome. No interest in buying new TRD 17" rims. Seems those guys take a hit on mileage.
    Thanks, J

Going to a larger tire in width and or height, will be heavier and will reduce mileage.

Lol rims don’t make a difference unless they are heavier. I actually get better mileage in my 17” rims vs my 16” because the tire/rim combo is lighter than my 16” tire/rim combo

Tire size, increased width and weight makes a difference in mpgs

Go with 265/75/16. The size is more readily available and because of that you have more tire options..

If you go passenger rated tires the mileage loss will not be as bad as you think. If you go with LT style tires and anything above load range C you will lose 1-2 mpg. I run load range E because I want peace of mind as they are puncture resistant and fight against getting nails. They are a harder ride but as I have stated to me the pros outweigh the cons.

That's the same size stock OR's come with so I don't think your mileage will suffer too much.

    Stuff.. but not much
I have a 2018 SR 4x4 with Falken Wildpeak AT3 265/70/16. The rims are Vision Manx. I've had them on for less than 5,000 miles. My gas mileage has only decreased by 2 mpg. Not much to notice. I've been out on Forest roads and through some mud and they do pretty good.

I just went from stock 265/70/16 to duratrac 265/75/16 and my mileage appears to have dropped almost 2 mpg

I’m running 265 70R 17 and saw a drop in MPG but probably because they’re AT tires.

Edit, just saw 16” specific, sorry

Falken Wildpeak. About 1 mpg verses stock. Great tire wet, dry, pavement, dirt etc. 20190801_133311.jpg

That size came from the factory on my truck. They are about 1" wider than what you have and the same height. I currently have LT 265/75/16's on my truck that are 15 lbs each heavier. They are 1" taller and the same width as 265/70/16's. There is no difference in my fuel mileage or performance.

These are definitely 265/70/16 and not 265/75/16? Asking because I really like the look of your truck and want to do the same!

They are 265/70/16's. That picture is before the lift though.
