You're welcome! Probably one of the best videos I have seen on it. I can say, I have absolutely loves my 255's! I am looking at possibly moving up to 255/85 for my next tires.

Anyone new running this size? I still think I’ll go 85/16 or 80/17, but this size is very intriguing.

Take a look at the 35x10.50r17 Kenda thread, they're very similar in size(255/85r17 measures out to 35x10r17) and way more people run them.

Oh MAN what a sexy looking tire. I wish I could give up my 16s on my 4Runner. I’d buy that size and new wheels right now.

I was curious for those running the 255 with stock. What are you getting in MPG

    Enough for now
I found a great price and discount stack for these on Simple Tire.com. Once my CMR is done this weekend my truck should be all ready for new tires. I’m confident 255/85/17 will fit fully with my zero offset methods, built right UCAs and trimmed fenders.
I’m tempted to go 35x12.50x17 but don’t want to get new wheels or spacers. Will post photos once the tires are in and on!

Do you have anything else done, or is your truck setup stock? I have a stock DCLB and I'm looking at putting the Method 706's on it. They are 17x8.5 0 offset as well. I don't want spacers, and currently don't have money for a lift or new UCA's. I really like the MT Bajas, but they don't have the 255/80R17 size, best I saw for my stock setup was the 265/70R17. I found Falken Wildpeak AT3 in 255/80R17 and their M/T version in 255/75/R17. Wondering if the 255/85R17 Bajas would fit a stock setup.

I’ve done a lot to ensure my tires and wheels fit, 2” lift, CMR, pinch weld flattened and sealed, fenders trimmed, fender liners removed, viper cut up front, snorkel for the now exposed intake. But that’s because I do not want rubbing when I off road or stuff the wheel.

this thread should answer your questions about fitting the 255/85/17 on a stock truck. Post 21 is helpful. You may be able to get away with them fitting on a stock truck but a cab mount chop seems necessary.

Take your time and do it right, tires are expensive these days and blowing one out cause it doesn’t fit isn’t worth it.

With 255/80/17s and 255/85/17s being an E load tire, how's the ride on pavement. My plan is to ditch my 285/70/17s and go with 255/80/17.
I'd like real world experience from people who run them.
    Thanks:thumbsup:

With the Kenda 35's, a friend has them on his Taco and we just got back from a week in Moab, he's very happy with them.

I really appreciate your reply, and those may have to be the next set of tires I do later down the road. It’ll give me some time to get some of those other needed steps done, and I’ll look more into what it is you’ve done to your truck. In the meantime, I’ll go either the 255/80 or 255/75

    thanks again!
