Looking into getting these for my truck. I have the eibach pro lift kit and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Cooper st maxx in a 255 85 16 size. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I ran these for about a year and really enjoyed them. Great in snow, sand, wet and dry pavement and rocks. Not noisy and balance well. Great choice!

They're heavy is all I know. @Calamity_taco is about to replace his. He can chime in with better usage reports.

This is the tire I’ve whittled it down to as well. Looking at the 255/80r17. There’s a couple threads dedicated to this size that have a ton of info including on these tires specifically

ARE Z-series shell, ImMrYo mirror lift, always on fog-lights.
Might check over in the Wheels and Tires section, theres a whole thread on the Cooper ST Maxx and also check out The Skinny on Skinny tires for running the 255-85-r16's

Maybe check out the Dick Cepek Trail series (3 different tires, I think). Also made by Cooper, they get really good reviews, and have similar sizes. Lighter as well.

Yeah the weight has me worried. The truck isn’t overpowered to begin with especially with the auto. Thanks for the suggestions!

just a couple of things tbh
ive had the stmaxx for a little over 2 years now and they have been a great tire tbh. the offroad and on road performance have been great with these tires the older they get the louder they get and the harder they ride from what ive noticed. now my tires also are not the best to judge for longevity my trucks front end has been messed up for awhile so its alignment has been out of wack for 3 years or so now and has worn the tires pretty badly.

I'm on Eibach pro lift kit as well and my 265/75/16 look too small. I'm planning to go with 255/85/16 and stick with oem spec wheels to avoid any trimming.

Man you have a sweet setup! I dig the soft topper!! And yeah I second you on the 265s looking too small just want to keep it withing oem spec best possible. Have you done upper control arms? I haven't upgraded just yet still looking, been looking into the OME UCA and the JBA ones

Thanks. I'm still on oem uca but eventually I'll look into upgrading them. Post some pics of you rig when you get the 255s so I can see how they will look on mines lol
