These are on a stock Tacoma off road.

    Pros
    • Looks sweet
    • 1” of extra ground clearance
    • Does not rub in the parking lot lol

    Cons
    • Truck feels slower
    • Fronts will rub if you are off roading
    • Less tire choices
    My opinion:
I love the look and ground clearance it provides. If you are not planning on taking this truck to the trails I would not even bother going for this tire size. Just go 265/70r17 and you’ll be happy with the tire options and won’t have to deal with any rub. Your Tacoma is plenty capable. 255/80r17 will rub if you are going to off road, but only the plastics.

Hope this post helps those that want this wheel and tire combo. If I had to do it all over again, I would have considered the 265/70r17 tires more, but I think I would have gone with the 255/80r17 anyways only because of the looks and I will be going on trips.

Fit on 5th Gens too, though I did take front flaps off and trim a little bit of the bumper so wife doesn't rub at the mall.
