Swisstrax has offered 25% off for TacomaWorld users. I worked with Jacob at Swisstrax while ordering my flooring and I have nothing but good things to say about him and Swisstrax itself. The process was quick and painless. The flooring is very durable and is simple to install. It really makes the garage feel like another room in the house and your Tacoma will thank you! To receive the discount and get a quote for your flooring call Jacob at (866) 748-7940 and make sure to let him know you're from TacomaWorld!

What did your floor set you back? I have about 800 sq ft I need to do something with.

I can’t remember exactly. Around the $1300 mark I believe. It ended up being a little bit cheaper than having the floors epoxy coated. Give Jacob a call for a quote! Super nice and easy to talk to!

I ordered a few samples from obsessed garage a few weeks ago (jet black, teal, cosmic purple, slate grey, pearl grey, pearl silver, and techno green). Minimum of 6 tiles per order, 20% off, no tax, free drop shipping from Swisstrax. I'm leaning towards techno green, jet black, and pearl grey, but I still haven't decided.

How's the jet black holding up? Does it show a lot of tire marks/ dirt?
Also, what did you cut the tiles with?

I would check out Racedeck tiles. I have owned both Swisstrax and Racedeck and I prefer the racedeck flooring. It is also much cheaper if you decide to go with Racedeck. I saved about 30% compared to Swisstrax.

Currently have Racedeck in my garage for the past three years and it’s holding up great, no problems at all.

How easy do floor jacks roll across the racedeck tiles? Do they clack when you walk on them? Would have done anything different?

I have considered those, but they're limited on color choices and not as thick (1/2" vs 3/4"). I do like the racedeck free flow xlc (18x18x3/4, 20 year warranty, 11.23/ tile) which is comparable to the Swisstrax Ribtrax Pro tiles (15x15x3/4, lifetime warranty, 6.81/8.20 per tile depending on colors).

Epoxy floors are out of the question for me (too slick/ hot tire pickup.)

It's practically a coin toss decision for me at this point.:annoyed:

no issues of floor jacks rolling across the floors as well as no clanking with both. What I like about Racedeck more is that it’s not as rigid, so you have more play in the floor for expansion and contraction. Depending on where you live could be a factor.

If you use a floor Jack often, I would not recommend this kind of flooring. I actually pull the tiles when I use my floor Jack as I have damaged some tiles in the past. I feel like Racedeck is easier to take apart than Swisstrax as well.

I have the free flow style tiles and they are great for water flow and what not, but if you drop a nut or a washer, you’re screwed. It’s really difficult to find those. Something to think about. Epoxy is somewhat tricky as well depending on the flakes you use as the bolts and washers can be hard to find. If you go epoxy, it’s all in the prep depending how old your slab is.

If I would change anything, I may add the non free flow version where I walk around the garage abs the free flow where I park my truck. That’s probably it. Overall though I’m very happy with my purchase

Thanks! I'm in AZ, so similar hot summer weather as TX. Floor jack/ jack stands are not used too often, but I can always utilize the driveway for that. I guess I need to order some racedeck samples now.

If Swisstrax offers a TW discount, would Racedeck?

I have been doing some research on these floor tiles (flow through variety). How slip resistant are they? My floor is about four years old, but water makes it as slippery as an ice rink.

    Thanks

    Hey everyone! New member here...
Does anyone know if Swisstrax is still running the discount for TW members or if Jacob is still there to contact?
