235 85R16 on a 1st Gen?

I have a stock 2003 Double Cab prerunner.

According to the tires section the tallest tire I can use on a stock 1st generation is 265/75R16 which is 31.65 inches tall.

I like pizza cutter tires and am looking at the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tire.

Is anybody running this tire in a 235/85R16 (or really any tire of this size) on their first generation? The 235/85R16 is 31.73 inches tall. I can't imagine that that slight height difference would make a difference especially since the narrow tire would be more than one inch narrower.

The next size in width would be 245/75R16 but the 245 width is only 30.47 inches tall.

If you are running the 235 do you happen to have pictures?

 

That tire size will work fine. I, too, can appreciate the pizza cutter tires. Funds usually dictate which size I go with when buying new tires. But if funds aren't a factor, you'll see me cruising on 255/85R16s when I get new tires.

 

+1 for Pizza cutters. Too bad they are all E rated. IMO in a perfect world they would be offered in a C in the 235/85R16 size. This would make a great winter tire with a lot of siping.

Snagged some winter tires in that size for my PreRunner and I'm sold on this size from now on. They are E-rated but at 42lbs/tire they're actually a little lighter than the D-rated 31X10.5X15s I had on over the summer.

 

I loved my 255/85/16 KM2 pizza cutters. I had minimal rub with my lift. Those things always found a bottom.

 

Need a lift to run 255/85's, my toyos measured 33.5" new!

For my family rig I've got a "lifted" GMC Savanah (Chevy Express) that has been running 235's and I have nothing but praise!

 

I just went with Toyo AT in a 235/85 R16. So far so good. Like the ride.

These are 265/75/r16 falken wildpeake AT3's i just got for my taco. look really awesome!! drive smooth! i dont hear any noise from them at 20-80 MPH

 

What wheels are these?

 

Anyone tried spacers to widen the stance?

 

Is anyone running Toyo Open Country 235-85-16 on a first gen?
I'm interested in them but they have the narrowest tread width of the 235s I'm looking at. 6.7 inch tread width.
If anyone has pics on a first gen that'd be awesome.

I’ve run 235/85-16 BFG KO or KO2 for years on my Gen 1 and Gen 2 trucks. I like the size a lot.
