Truck looks good, but larger tires would go nicely with it!

Just realized those are 2nd gen wheels

I have to assume those are his street tires, and he has different ones for wheelin?

I once considered getting some 29s for my old 86 4runner just to save the 32s I had for the dirt.

Of course, an 8” lift is a bit redonkulous for even wheelin, unless you’re a mudder. And that truck doesn’t scream “mud truck”...

that's a straight suspension lift, no body gaps. and yes, by the rear leafs would assume a big block in there as the leafs are flat as hell.

also I never really understand why people put smaller tires on. they don't really save a noticeable amount of mpg. just get the same O.D. as stock and get good street tires :notsure:

Look close under the bed pic. There is an attempt at making a gap guard. No?

225/70/16 oem size for poverty spec

    20-21mpg

Sadly less horsepower than a Prius and Yaris. Have to drive with a bag over my head not to get embarrassed by school buses at signal lights

ooo, good catch, I couldn't see that at first. looks like a long square piece either welded or glued on somehow

    oem never had 225/70-16 :)

also, I got 21 mpg with my Firestone Destination A/T @ 265/70-16 (stock size). albeit in flat NC terrain :D

    225/75/15 sorry

That’s what our poverty spec pre runner 4 door come with

If you paid a few dollars extra when new, they gave you the 16 inch wheels from sr5 and wrapped it in 225/7016 to keep the overall diameter as close to accurate as possible

I am fine with my small 28 inch oem 225 width

You real men in NC need the 265 :D

Us girly men in girly truck don’t have the girth :D

It’s a glorious local ad listing.

I’m guessing it had big wheels / tires that sold separately then they slapped on the 2nd gens & called it good :broccoli:

I had to go and look back at the brochures but I see they still offered the 225/75 on every model. At least the gear ratio is a little better for them.

I guess dealers up north here always opted for the bigger wheel/tire combo, as I never saw the 15's when I was looking.
