I might be internet retarded, but i can't seem to find a comparison for thr 209 and 202 black paint codes. I have a 2015 taco (202 code) and have been hunting all year for a matching shell (used). One finally popped up that is used but in good shape and a decent price. Buts its a 209. Would it be noticeably different?

I think the 209 has the look of metallic flacks within the paint.

209 is Black Sand Pearl from 2005-2010 Tacomas. Try searching for that here to get a better idea.

Up close there is a noticable difference but if it's a good deal, paint is cheap.

You ever figure whether black paint code 209 vs black paint code 202 had a noticeable difference?? I have a black 2012 Tacoma (paint code 202) and am in the same situation. Found a replacement door but paint code is 209.

I didn't really check. Drove out and it was for a short bed so it never even got onto my truck for a comparison

It's very noticeable, I bought a BSP hood and door and you could tell from a distance before the truck got painted.
