    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
    Speaking of... 209 and local.

Would break my heart if the fire claims this one. This is a cool spot. Bourland Tressle is under heavy threat right now.

    Welcome,

    my advice that you didnt ask for;
you can do most of the stuff out there with some quality skids, sliders and tires.
dont go too far down the rabbit hole just yet, spend a year or two with the *almost* stock truck, push the limits. get some dings, dents and scratches. then decide if you really wanna go down the rabbit hole any deeper lol

@essjay came from a subaru too

    Also...

That's the second time I've heard Apache Offroad... where are they? What are they about?

Corral Hollow is a cool trail. Real easy, I'd say stock or lightly modified would be OK. Maybe a bit rough, but would be fine.

There are a lot of fire roads to explore off 4 (near Corral Hollow) as well as 108 above Sonora.

This weather is actually a good time to get up above 6000-7000 feet, to cool down.

What kinda parts ya got? Now, that gets my attention.

ARP extended studs (not installed yet), Optima Red Top, Siless Insulation in cab. Diode Dynamics LEDs throughout... More titanium fasteners. K&N intake snorkus delete. Greddy hose clamps throughout. DBA 4000XS Brake Rotors. TRD PRO fogs. Dakine Tail Gate Pad. More to come of course.
Apache Off Road does alot of late model 4runner and Lexus stuff. Way outta my price range and skill set. I have no need for a $20k suspension on a daily. I played that game with my Subarus and wont do it again.

I’ve been alright, was workin a lot at the new/old job that was cool but just didn’t pay enough. I’ve since gone back to my old-old gig (doubled my income lol) so I’ve been real busy with that lately. Gunna be moving to Livermore in a couple months (I’m not commuting over that altamont anymore). Haven’t had much time or money for truck stuff lately, but that should be changing soon.

You can see the auto enthusiast in you with them nic’s and nac’s

Seems like you’ve already fallen into the rabbit hole and skipped a few ledges on the way down lol

That's a good sized pile of work to do in the garage.

@Motofox is right though... skids and sliders are a must if trails are in the future.

I forgot I have the Body Armor Revo sliders. The ones that hug the body real tight. Love them. Some twit already dinged his door on them parking too close. Paid for themselves already.

Right on. Sounds like you are well in to the build.

Are you waiting on wheels and tires to do the lift?

I am actually looking at the Enkei RPT1's. I found some fairly cheap and the RPF1 was, literally, the best bang for the buck wheel during my autocross days. Light, strong, etc. I really wanted some mad tight JDM wheels. Volks...Work, then my same buddy reminded me that my head would explode the second I scratched one.
The lift. Yeah. So, I bought a fixer upper house 5 years ago and, because there is a lady living in it with me, the house tends to get all of the attention. Plus, I work crazy hours. Its my daily. Etc.
I swore I would not do the bumper until the lift. I am already a total poseur with all of the current mods. The last place I off roaded was a Bev Mo.
So the lift may come in stages. Do the front first. Enjoy that SoCal sag for a while then do the rears. Its all about time management with me. haha

Added Rigid Industries Rock Lights, with Ti hardware, under the hood. Tucked the wires into the hood. Gonna' figure out routing the Passenger Side once this heat wave subsides. Because the wiring is"clocked", I had to do a little mod to the rubber base so the Passenger Side would match the drivers side properly. Did this all, in the driveway, and it was 109 degrees outside. No bueno.
I still have four more...leaving me the option to go full douchegbag mall crawler.
