Pretty good overview if you want to see some of the little changes. I've watched this guy's videos before, especially the control and head-unit walk-throughs before I purchased my 2022 3rd gen.

    Edit: Adding the controls followup.

I assume you think I'm the video creator. I'm not. I found this to be interesting because I hadn't seen a video with all the little things this one had. But it's just more info for anyone who may be researching the new models.

Not every post is a shameless grab for clout, though I know they exist. I don't blame you for the skepticism!

If you’re implying that 81shark is the creator of the video and was thanking me for watching it, I have doubt because they called it garbage at the end of their sentence.

I read it as sarcastically implying I created the video and didn’t disclose that fact in my post. But I could be wrong! There’s no tone in text posts so misunderstandings happen all the time.

At least the thumbnail pic doesn’t have a close-up of his face with a weird expression. I’d almost click it just for rejecting the trend.

Fuck now I'm confused, I should probably quit for the day because my sarcasm filter is broken apparently.

The Internet is a confusing place! My first post on TW also had a video in it and I was accused of being that guy too. *shrug*

Probably a sign from the gods that maybe reposting links to YouTube videos is lazy.

I don't want to watch a video and hear some moron babble on and urge me to subscribe and "smash that like button."

How about telling us what you like about the new truck?

I’m actually not sure I like it. I thought the high lift jack points were interesting, but the low-hanging spare seemed to me a potential problem.

I’d love more headroom than I have in my 3rd gen though. I’m not sold on the exterior design yet, but I’m sure as I see it more I’ll grow used to it. I just saw a white pro on Sunday, my first in the wild. The pro tailgate was… not to my liking. I’m skeptical of the all digital dashboard, but probably only because I didn’t like the particular theme that was on the truck in the video.

I wonder if the rear seats fold down flat to provide a platform like mine. I use that a lot for the dog.

I’m not a total hater of the 2024 though. I’m interested in the low RPM power vs my v6. Mine’s a manual, which I hear helps, but it’s slow off the line. I’m not a speed freak, but it’s not like other vehicles I’ve owned. And some of the talk on the new manual transmission indicated the gear ratios are tweaked in a good way.

I think the new steering wheel is better, but the rest of the dash/console design hasn’t grabbed me.

There’s some of my random thoughts, most of which I wouldn’t have had without this video to show me views and angles I hadn’t seen elsewhere yet. That’s why I posted it here, just as extra information for people genuinely interested in getting a 2024. I only subscribed to the guy’s channel because of how helpful it was to me to see his walkthrough of the 3rd gen and tutorial on the controls before I bought my 2022. He’s a car salesman, don’t think he’s counting on going big as an influencer. At least I haven’t heard him tell me to smash any buttons yet. :D

Oh, and I’m wondering if the cameras still suck on the new model!

I'm a little intrigued by the driver seat configuration. All manual adjustment, but power lumbar support? The builder says the base trim is "Fabric-trimmed seats; 6-way manually adjustable driver and front passenger seats with 2-way manually adjustable lumbar support on driver's seat only"

There is an option shown for "Fabric-trimmed seats; 6-way manually adjustable driver and front passenger seats with 2-way manually adjustable lumbar support on driver's seat only; fold-flat passenger seat", however not available in the TRD Off-Road. Wonder if that was a factory goof or just a documentation/builder goof? I actually like the manually adjustable seat, and don't mind if the lumbar is manual or powered.

Also, it's a bummer that you have to get such an expensive TRD package just for a powered rear window. Wish the stock config had a slidable rear window, at least but we don't get that. Makes hauling a few random long pieces of lumber or pipe more tricky unless you can open the window.

I think the fold flat passenger seat is for the access cab, right?

Low hanging multi link rear suspension and longer wheelbase make it worse off-road. A fail in my books.

Apparently some off-roads don’t even come with a full size spare. Don’t even get me started on the 6 gal of gas thing…
