I got this on preorder. Wait till November haha.

 

I ordered a k&n intake but now I second guessing that cause I already have the afe exhaust system and their charge pipe kit. I may have to cancel the k&n lol

 

i had a K&N system ordered from Summit but i cancelled it and preordered the AFE. The K&N wasn’t going to ship till December. I hate when companies do that. They should post their product when they are available for purchase.

 

Looks like a nice product (sealed and hopefully no oil air filter). That said, folks, be cautious, Toyota will void your warranty if you make ANY modifications to the engine, etc...

A cold air intake for a turbocharged engine that has an intercooler in the system. Okay.

Potential issue.

CIAs sometimes produce an unhealthy turbulent suction, that results in a loss of HP and Torque. The Dyno results that most or all of these aftermarket CIA post is when the vehicle’s ECU/EMU system has been reset and is in a rich “learning mode.” Once the ECU ends the learning procedure, it starts to lean the AF Ratio and once lean, HP and Torque is lower than OEM.

Unless tuned, preferable road in every pedal position.

Which exhaust did you get?

 

I kinda wish Banks did more than Diesels. He seems to put more thought and engineering into his products than most. But then again - Maybe that's why he isn't making them for gas engines? He might know something we don't?

Would be super cool if manufacturers would adopt his stuff too - Like you can get a "Roush" or "Shelby" package Ford F-150 with their go-fast-goodies on it. Why not get a "Banks Edition" right off the show room floor?

 

I’m running the AFE rock basher exhaust with AFE charge pipes and a k&n intake. Runs like a champ and no codes or lights at all.

 

Wouldn’t the computer/MAS/fuel sensors counteract any changes?
