Hello, new to this page, just bought a ‘24 OffRoad with the 7 speaker JBL audio system.
I’m extremely disappointed in the lack of volume and quality of the sound. My salesman can’t
(or won’t) help. I’ve gone through the manuals and tried all the adjustments. Still quite lame compared to a Bose in a GM and an Alpine in a Jeep I’ve have prior.
My question is, can the system be programmed or upgraded internally to perform or will I need to replace amp/speakers etc.? Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to TW! I can’t speak to the newer Tacoma audio system’s because I haven’t been in a newer Tacoma. I will say that in my opinion, most stock Tacoma audio systems are junk. I’ve had 3 Tacoma’s and replaced all of them with aftermarket systems. If you want to keep your stock head unit you can still replace your speakers and add an amp for a much improved sound.

That doesn’t surprise me, I was hoping for an easy fix but oh well, I’ll head brown that road and post my findings. Thanks for the reply.
