I haven’t found anything yet but I’m definitely looking for one too. I reached out to realtruck a couple weeks ago and they said they aren’t sure if or when it’ll become available

Yes. at least for the front 3-4 inches of your hood. My 2004 tacoma front of the hood looked like the surface of the moon. Definitely one of the things I am looking to add to mine this go around.

surface of the moon inregards to paint chips or just bugs?
Bug deflector seems cheezy to me, especially on a Pro...

If it looked like the moon inregards to a bunch or little paint chips, youre tailgating....
Just look at my wifes hood on her lexus....:frusty:

Had a bug deflector on my 2nd gen. They don't do much. My hood was chipped all over just from normal highway driving over the years.

This time around, I opted to have the entire hood PPF-ed. It wasn't *that* bad ($400), which included a ceramic coating on top and a "lifetime warranty" (as long as I have the truck detailed with them once a year) where they'll replace the film if it peels, yellows, cracks, etc.

20 years of paint chips, fingernail sized dents from large rocks- everything. I don't just drive on US highways and I rarely tailgate. The trailhunters came with a "clear bra" film coating over the front 1/4 of the hood- and that's a good start, but I'm still going to put a deflector on.

They do help protect the front of the hood but being honest it's about the look.Looked sweet on the 2018 Offroad.Nice fit, good quality

That went on sale a while ago but hasn't been released yet. Last update from RealTruck was out of stock until 2/14/25. This is like the third delay so far...

I don't like that weird ridge along the top but I ordered one anyway. They had a prototype on one of their show trucks and it didn't seem as prominent on that.

I have a couple different ones on my 2005, I have had to change them since the Sun in New Mexico is tough on everything. My hood still looks like it did when it was new and I have only caught a couple of rocks to the windshield but they came off dump trucks hauling gravel.
