Title is a little click baity.

talking shit about the V6 - check

the only thing I disagree with is him saying the suspension was stiff lol

His verdict is logical. The current Gen will keep its value so if you’re looking for a promised better powertrain and MPG’s wait for the 24’.

Understandable to wait for the 2024.

Wait for the '24 if it is as good at Toyota claims.

    - Or get a'23 - 3rd gen if it is not quite (as it may turn out to be the case... (??).

The '24 would have to be MUCH better to overcome the major downsides of no Manual (potentially), Electic e-brake, Twin Turbos, No Full electric Drive, etc.

No manual would be no interest from me. At that point, the magic last relic of the Toyota "mini" truck formula would be gone.

Now can anyone help me make a GR corolla el camino edition?

TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.

I would hate an electric e brake. That on top of possibly no manual would force me to look at other brands. This after buying 3 Tacoma's (one of each gen). If I wanted a Honda truck I would have bought a Ridgeline, if all these "updates" actually happen why not get it.

the writer didn't mention (at least until someone in the comments did) the risk in buying a first year model after a refresh...

there will be debate on this i am sure, but The Car Care Nut and lots of others suggest even the 2016 and 2017 tacoma had many more issues than the later ones. its real... especially with the number of big changes in 2024.
