Oh there will be speculation. That’s why I like to post from the horses mouth instead of YouTube or clickbait sites.

So pretty much typical Toyota, nothing new, which works for most folks. I'm psyched the MT is still available!

    Thanks for sharing

"Tired of black 17" wheels yet? Here's something new. We're calling it 'bell-bottomed jeans'."

This might be the last year of this generation, might be time to trade in my 2017 :pccoffee:

I was in such a rush to grab a ‘22 for that reason alone, because of all that damn speculation of the 4th gen in 2023 and how there would be no more MT.

Oh well, I sold my old car for more than I would have gotten next year…and now I have a Tacoma. So win win!

    Oh look, another mod....
I'm glad they aren't changing the engines: No hybrid!......yet?

Tacoma offers two power choices: The standard 2.7-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine with VVT-i produces 159 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of peak torque. The available 3.5-liter V6 employs Toyota’s VVT-iW technology and Atkinson-cycle combustion to help maximize efficiency. Toyota’s D-4S fuel injection system incorporates both direct injection and port injectors. The V6 serves up 278 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of peak torque. Both engines are paired with a six-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence (ECT-i), and the V6 can also be teamed with a 6-speed manual transmission.

I didn't see this in the article, but when will the 2023s be available to order?

Next gen most likely an I4 turbo. Hybrid is unknown but probably a good idea. BEV is confirmed though.

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately, this confirms what we pretty much knew, that the next gen won't be available until at least 2024. And so, I wait. Arrrgh. With Toyota you need to be good at waiting.

Glad to see my 2021 has not yet been rendered obsolete. There is nothing in the 2023 that I would want, that I don't already have.
