Just picked up my 2023 Tacoma V6 Dbl Cab 4x4 about 2 weeks ago. So far, I love it and glad to be back into a Toyota (last Toyota was a 1998 4Runner I loved). I didn't notice it at first and don't think it was doing it, but I noticed this week, when I or my wife are connected either bluetooth or Carplay, the person on the other end hears a "buzzing" almost like old car door open alarms. This is with either of our phones, both iPhone 13 Pros and either plugged in or not. The only thing I have done is set up our camera for our rear-facing toddler, but I have tried it both with it plugged in or unplugged and same issue. I saw some posts regarding it on here and Reddit, but no solutions. Any recommendations? I haven't tried looking for any head-unit updates, but will later today.

Wild guess. Perhaps you have a bad ground on the microphone in the head unit.

Could be. Like I said, I didn't notice anything the first week. Could have bounced something loose but just been normal driving so far.

I looked on the Toyota website for a head unit update and there was one. I updated through the USB port, just haven’t verified if it was fixed yet. One of the release notes was calls through Apple CarPlay and android auto so maybe!

I lowered the volume and it helped but it didn’t completely silence the humming. Can’t believe Toyota accepts this in their trucks.
