Wondering about installing a 3in lift on my 2023 trail edition but the dealership said that mine isn't listed as being able to install a lift greater than the stock lift it came with. Wondering if anyone knows why that would be?

The dealership probably doesn’t want to install aftermarket parts. I don’t blame them since they can barely do oil changes correctly.

You can install a 3” lift on any Tacoma but at that height you will most definitely need new UCA’s. I would call an independent shop that works on trucks/SUVs. Any of those places could do it for you.

Plus, the lift could void warranty claims of damaged components they deem were caused by the lift - like CV shafts, ball joints, control arm bushings, etc… And if a related suspension component is recalled, Toyota will want to assemble it back together to oem specs - ask me how I know …

Yea I was hoping they would install a trd lift or bilstien lift but it doesn't seem like they will. Not going to risk voiding my warranty if that's the case but hoping I can figure out something with them. I'll post here if I find an option.
