I’m new member and not very knowledgeable on wheels & tires. Found new Ranger rims with new 265/65R17 stock size tires that I have on my Tacoma. Bolt pattern looks the same but in researching I found 55mm offset listed for Ranger rims. Is this a problem or will they work for me???

I think the issue will be center bore size. Double check that.

It’s blasphemy to put Danger Ranger wheels on a Taco anyways…

    Probably won't work.

Without looking too hard into it, I think rangers use lug centric wheels, while Toyotas use hub centric.

It's best practice to use equipment designed for the mounting style. Otherwise you might have permanent balance problems at best, and no way to disprove it caused catastrophic failure at worst.

I don't think 55mm offset is even close.

Bore on Ford is 93.1, Tacoma 106.1. This can be overcome by a machine shop enlarging the bore, assuming there is enough material between the bore edge and the lug holes.

IMHO, just shop for the proper Toyota take offs. (or buy a Ranger  :D)

Doubt if Ranger wheels would work on a Toyota.

If they did I'd suggest these ones and a Ranger.

Preferably on a lifted FX4 CG Ranger splash and a nice A/T tire.

Why mess with Ranger rims when there are so many Toyota rims that fit,FJ, 4 runner or Taco take your pick.

Bore size is different also not sure if the offset will cause the wheel/tire to hit any of the suspension components.
If you really want to run ranger wheels you can always run spacers and get a machine shop to increase the center bore size, just not worth it imo

Thank you all very much for the input!!! The price was great - $750 for everything on the Ranger setup hence my question. Going to resume my search for a deal on take off Tacoma wheels now!!! Open to any and all suggestions.

There are people selling used wheels on this site from time to time, you just have to be patient to find the right deal that's local to you.

That said, I've been happy with the so called SEMA/4Runner Pro wheels. They're relatively cheap, they have a good looking offset (+4mm), you can find them on a multitude of sites in a variety of colors, and they're Toyota branded.

It's an aftermarket wheel that looks like it should be stock. Some people find it to be too mainstream, but I like them. They look especially good in bronze or gunmetal.
