My last Tacoma was a 2013 Baja Ed.

Looking to get back in another Tacoma.

Obviously the market is crazy right now, and even crazier when it comes down to getting the PRO.

I am looking for pros / cons / advice in terms for getting a PRO VS OFF ROAD.

Anyone can name some significant differences between the two?

If you get a good enough deal on an OR 4x4 you can make it look like a pro ;)

Get the OR and use the savings to get it where you want it. Suspension, etc.

    Oh look, another mod....
    1) The grille. The Pro has the old school style grille, the OR has the ugly round Toyota oval.
    2) Hood scoop. Pro has it, OR doesn't. It's non-functional though.
    3) The suspension is about 1-1.5 inches higher on the Pro.
    4) Special emblems/badging: The Pro has headrests that say "Pro" on them, then there's side door badging and tailgate badging.
    5) Wheels. The Pro gets a special set of rims, black with red letters. The OR gets a machine faced silver/black finish.
    6) Headlights. The Pro's have "TRD Pro" inside the headlights, the OR does not. The TRD comes with LED's standard, the OR you can get it, but it's part of a package.
    7) Fog lights. The Pro's have Rigid foglights, the OR's have...something else.
    8) Price. The Pro is usually $4 - 6K more than the OR

I traded my '18 OR in on a '21 Pro. I don't regret it one bit.
The Pro is a much nicer truck than the standard OR package (especially with the updates from getting a newer truck).

Comparing an OR w Premium to a Pro, there isn't a huge price difference. A standard OR to Pro is much more significant.

IF you're looking at an OR Premium, you're not paying over MSRP, you're not going to tear out the suspension right away, and you like the Pro color(s), by all means, go for the Pro.

    Thanks
Do you know with the PACKAGE LED Headlights, are they the SAME as the pro ones in terms of lumen / function except the TRD have the "TRD PRO" lettering?

I think this is changing. No more door badge and will be embossed similar to the Tundra on the rear fender

Yeah essentially the same except for they also have a partially chrome housing versus an all black housing on the pro

If you plan on doing literally any mods, get the OR. You'll save about 6k and can put that into superior suspension, bumpers, whatever.
