Hello - new to the forum, lot's of great information - thanks.

But - I've been unable to find information on running boards to replace the stock ones on my 2022 TRD Off Road, which are unusable.
    Any suggestions please?

There's 3-4 OEM style running boards, none come installed on a offroad, so which do you have?

By stock he probably means ones that came with a port installed package. Here in SET those are Predator or Tread usually. Do you really want running boards instead of real rock sliders?

I personally hate the Predators. The Treads were ok for running boards. But I am going to get CBI or C4 rock sliders.

Does anyone know anything about these that are listed on the SET builds? They LOOK like rock sliders but I doubt they are. Are these the N Fab ones I have heard about?

I went with CBI side steps but they are kinda pricey.

I'm very happy with Steelcraft 4" oval steps. They are low enough to be functional as a step, and the ends are welded, not a plastic cap. These are 4 years old.

I have the OEM ones that OP has in the picture. They’re functional enough for my girlfriend. For me, I don’t need them.

OP still needs to tell us what he is looking for. If you just want running boards what is the problem with what you have. I think those are the Tread model which I think are much better than the Predators and their cheese grater steps. If you want something for off road you really need a frame mounted set of rock sliders.

lol, I guess I am the "OP", like I said, sorry, I am new to this forum.

I slide into the seat just fine.....but my 90 yo Dad struggles. The running boards on the truck are too close to the truck to be functional. I was hoping for more of step, and was hoping someone in the forum could recommend a good quality brand.

    Apologies for the confusion......Thanks!

SET has one called the "Cast Aluminum Running board" that looks pretty wide. See if you have the same board where you live. Keep in mind if you ever get into off roading seriously it will probably get destroyed and could damage your truck.

Places like this have a decent selection.

I'd guess the oem Predators are among the lowest with respect to serving as a step.

My problem with those is that, while my daughter can use a step, I don't need one I can easily see my self consistently hitting those cheese grater steps with my leg every time I get out of the truck.

I cannot speak to them personally, or amp in general. However it was the power steps on a ram that convinced me to of their benefit. I have never had a more useful step. It was low and out away from the truck, making a solid platform on which to stand and get in.

No, those pictured in the OP are the same OEM boards that came on my 19 OR. Great for my mom, daughter and wife. I don’t use them unless I’m washing or waxing the roof.

Quite impressed with my Tyger running boards. One of the cheapest brands out there, and they haven't rusted at all through 5 harsh winters now. I believe Wal Mart still carries them.
