The guy at the Uhaul says the 5x8 trailer alone weighs 900 lbs. The one reference I could find said the max recommended tow capacity for a TACO V6 SR5 is 3500 lbs. Be careful of the your tongue weight to avoid trailer sway and overloading. Now looking at what others have said I'm thinking I will not tow more total weight, trailer plus contents, of more than 2000lbs., that is just my thoughts on towing. Do not forget that total content weight: cab, bed, and trailer all add up quickly. Noted increase in gas consumption and wear and tear as weight goes up, more stops, more expense are a definite consideration, and mountains are another story. Oh your owners manual should have content on towing. One more thought, using a line to secure bed contents a video recommended a braided polyester line using a In-line automatic tension locking truckers knot, Good luck with your tow. Woodcutter

Load it correctly, take more room to stop and accelerate and it’s no big deal. Pulled that exact trailer, chock full, 1100 miles with my 4 banger. No problems.

Could you guess your total weight? Flat land, hilly, or mountains? Thanks

Usually the single axle utility trailers are rated at 2990lbs- the trailer weight, that’s what payload you have left.
